Day 1: Welcome to Israel!
After morning arrival at Ben Gurion Airport , you will meet your tour guide & driver. We start our visit at Old Jaffa (New Testament Joppa), where Jonah boarded a ship for Tarshish (Jonah 1) & the Apostle Peter (Acts 9-10) received God’s command to preach the Gospel to the Gentiles. It was here that Peter stayed in the home of Simon the Tanner. We will then transfer to Netanya for dinner & overnight.
Day 2: Caesarea, Mt. Carmel & Nazareth
We start the day by driving up the Mediterranean coast to Caesarea Maritima, which was built by King Herod & later became the seat of government of the Roman governors, including Pontius Pilate. This was the same journey that Peter took to visit Cornelius (Acts 10). We continue to Mt. Carmel, where the Prophet Elijah challenged the Priest of Baal (1 Kings 18:17-40). Our next stop is Megiddo, the Armageddon of the Book of Revelations. We then continue our journey to Nazareth, for a special visit to Nazareth Village where you will see the Church of Annunciation where Gabriel announced Jesus’s birth to Mary, St. Joseph’s Church & the home Jesus grew up in. Today we drive up to the Golan Heights & visit Tel Dan, which was the northernmost town in biblical Israel, hence the saying “from Dan to Beer Sheba”. We retrace His walk to Calvary from there & see Jesus’s empty tomb. After this life changing experience, we will visit the Temple Mount followed by a visit to the Western Wall. Here we will visit the Western Wall Tunnels, a fascinating area under the Temple Mount. We then visit the “Southern Steps” where ancient Jews, including Jesus, ascended to the Temple.
