In addition to the warm weather, Tampa Bay typically has high humidity, which sometimes can be uncomfortable, and temperatures generally stay around 82 F / 28 C. Winters are mild and generally dry, but with occasional cold snaps. If you're traveling to Tampa during your summer vacation, you'll find that the heat and humidity are tempered by sea breezes or by afternoon and early-evening thunderstorms. Be sure to use sunscreen - Florida is called "The Sunshine State" for a reason!
